If the surface is not frozen over, it is even possible to catch pike, zander and perch in the last month of the year. The days are very short, but during a mild warm spell, you can even catch a few fattened up fish in beautiful winter colours. It takes great determination, carefully chosen warm spells, waterproof clothing and the will to persevere. But the boldest will fight to the last, or even into the first frost. The season comes to a close on 31 December.
